Install Theme
After downloading your purchased theme, go to Appearance › Themes in your website’s dashboard and click on the “Add New” button located in the top part of the page.
Upload the downloaded .zip archive of the theme and click “Install”.
If you want to use the child theme provided with your purchase, install the child theme just like the main theme. Please note that installing the main theme is mandatory, child themes cannnot function by themselves.
Theme Shortcodes
Some shortcodes were built in this theme, that you can easily use when adding content. These shortcodes are:
Intro paragraph
Emphasize an intro paragraph by adding
[intro text="Your paragraph text here"]
Right pullquote
Add a right side pullquote with
[right text="Your paragraph text here"]
Left pullquote
Add a left side pullquote with
[left text="Your paragraph text here"]
Customizer Options
To access the theme options, go to Appearance › Customize. You should see these options:
Theme Design
Clicking on the Theme Design section will reveal the following options:
From here you can change all the colors of the theme.
Background Color
This option changes the overall background (website background texture + some elements).
Accent Color
This option changes the accent color (used for marking important elements like links).
Social Media Icons
Clicking on the second option (Social Media Icons) will reveal the following options:
About Widget
Clicking on the third option (About Widget) will reveal the following options:
The “About” widget is displayed as the first widget in the sidebar, on the single post pages.
You can add a title, image, some text, and also a link if you have an “About” page.
Signature Image
Clicking on the fourth option (Signature Image) will reveal the following options:
Upload your image and it will be automatically displayed at the end of posts.
You can also set the desired image width (recommended especially for Retina/HiDPI optimized images).
Related Articles
Clicking on the fifth option (Related Articles) will reveal the following options:
Choose to hide the Related articles section on single post page (by default they are displayed).
You can also change the section’s title. The default title is “You might also like”.
Social Media Share Buttons
Clicking on the sixth option (Social Media Share Buttons) will reveal the following options:
Choose to hide the social media sharing buttons (by default they are displayed).
Site Identity
Clicking on the seventh option (Site Identity) will reveal the following options:
With this option you can upload a logo image, change the site title and description, and also add a site icon.
Site title and description can also be changed from Settings > General.
Menus
Clicking on the eighth option (Menus) will reveal the following options:
With this option you can add a custom menu that will be displayed as main menu in the top right area of the header.
Menus can also be added from Appearance > Menus.
Widgets
Clicking on the ninth option (Widgets) will reveal the following options:
The widgets are displayed in the sidebar, on the single post pages.
If you have the “About” widget activated, they will be displayed under it.
Widgets can also be added from Appearance > Widgets (except for the custom “About” widget that can only be edited from Customizer.
Homepage Settings
Clicking on the tenth option (Homepage Settings) will reveal the following options:
Choose to display a static page instead of the blog posts index as homepage.
Additional CSS
Clicking on the eleventh option (Additional CSS) will reveal the following options:
With this option you can add your own CSS styles.
Yoast SEO Breadcrumbs
Please note that for this option you need to have Yoast SEO plugin installed and activated.
Clicking on the twelfth option (Yoast SEO Breadcrumbs) will reveal the following options:
You can customize the way your breadcrumbs are displayed by changing the separator, homepage anchor text, and add prefixes for different pages like archive, 404, and search results pages.
